Title: red oak sudbury style board bow?
Post by: WoodBenderDW on June 02, 2012, 10:38:28 am
Has anyone ever made a sudbury style bow from a red oak board?  Does anyone have any thoughts on whether it will work or any advice?  Maybe maple might work too?

As long as the proper board(good grain) is used and you do your part with the tillering there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to make a Sudbury bow with a board.

Remember you want straight grain tip to tip. Check the edge and the face. More on my site. Jawge
