I heard camel leg sinews are really long and elastic. Has anyone heard this, have any info or know where to get camel sinew??
-
Saudi Arabia! ;D
I'd bet it would be good. If you find some let us know. ;)

Moose sinew would be easier to get. Anyways, a moose is just a horned snow camel.... ::)

I work with plenty of Arabs. If you'd like I can ask around for you.

Should be good, might check with some of the local motels/convenient stores here in TN. ;) ;D ;D

You could wait till one dies in a zoo......LOL.
-
Giraffe might be good too, 6 foot legs...... :D

For all you jokers out there, the reason I'm asking is that apparently, camels have short leg muscles and long tendons. The muscles stretch the tendon, and then the muscles release, swinging the leg forward by the elastic action of the tendon. When I hear this, I had a picture of the alleged 900 + yard Turkish flight bows flash through my mind.

The trouble with that synopsis of movement in a Camel is that it fits any other running animal that gains a large amount of free energy return from elastic structures.
The camel may have longer cannon bones than all but the Giraffes but there are several other more elastic animals out there.

Sorry for cluttering up the thread, just caught me funny, ;) ;D ;D ;D it should work great but I would think it would be hard to get and as Pat said other animals are good also and a lot more available ,at least here in the states. :)
