Just finishing up this bow. Tri-Lam: maple back, purpleheart core, osage belly. 85#@30". That's a 30" arrow I'm drawing to the head. This bow is long... 78" between the nocks. It's also narrow... 1 1/8" wide, and 1" deep. No prop twist. String runs nicely mid limbs.
Just needs finish sanding and nocks need smoothing out. I'm lookin for tiller comments. I think maybe the top limb just above my hand is pretty stiff. Bottom limb looks good to me. I had a bit of a hinge to deal with in the top 1/3rd of the top limb.
In my typical warbow shooting style, I've got my cheeks puffed up, with my usual grimace!!

i had to look really close, but the only improvement to the tiller i woudl do is getthe upper tip bending a little bit more, and maybe more bend in the handle, but that's when i look relly close, over all it looks great ;D

Nice bow, tiller looks fine to me, you can always try and tweak it a little but you have to accept a good tiller when you get one. Also A+ on the grin. Perhaps the only thing I would mention is the length, 78" for a 85lb @ 30" bow is generous, you could get away with 74".

I agree with your synopsis. Bottom limb looks great, top limb is a little stiff by the handle area.

I'm considering piking it.

OK, tweaked the tiller a bit in the top limb.

looks perfect now ;D

Lookin good buddy, tiller looks bang-on now. The top limb really evened out. How many lbs did you lose after the touch-up?
You're gonna have to show me how to make one of those, one of these days. I believe I have some osage seasoning in your shop! ;)

Just took a couple scrapes, so I didn't lose any weight, I don't think. When you're chasing tiller, sometimes it only takes a couple swipes! It was still bobbing between 80-85# @ 30" with the last look on the tiller tree. Also, it's only taken 1" of set.
Hey, Cam... I thought you were going hunting? Did you polish up those broadheads I gave you? Let me know if you poke a hole in anything! I think I'm gonna go sit in my treestand tomorrow evening for the first time, and hang my trailcam back up. Good luck, amigo!

I find tiller hard to judge in front of that paterns on the wall behind!

OK it seems to me. Lower limb is still slightly limp. This is not going to affect the bow

Yes, sir! Nothing like a wee pint of the dark stuff!
