Hey guys, I just finished up a bow I had been working on for some time now and wanted to show it off. It is 45@25, 66" tip to tip, Iron wood root tips, and a boiled linseed oil finish. Let me know what yall think, good and bad please... I am really trying to get my skills up and seem to have leveled out recently....

Hmmmm.... having trouble posting pics, lemme get back to you on that one...
-
Untill I get this figured out, here is a link to the photobucket album...

That's a beauty,mighty fine job. :)

Fine looking stick and lots of character :)
Looks a tiny bit stiff in the upper fade and just off but it also looks like a massive orrible knot there too! Good job.
-
Good looking bow Sleek. Just enough character to keep it interesting.
-
Very nice job on a tuff stave! Do the curves line up in such a way that you have a natural sight window or is there enough handle area for that?
-
Cool looking piece of osage!
-
Thanks for putting up the pics darksoul, I really appreciate that.
Hrothgar, I am not sure what you mean by a sight window? But the string tracks slightly to the left of the handle making it almost a center shot...
Thanks Okie64, the character sure made it interesting, the curve top tip actually had to be heat straightened some for sting alignment.
Dwardo, the knot you see there is some kind of damage in the limb there, I dont know what it is, but it is soft and almost all the way through, so I left it stiff there.
Pappy, that a compliment from you for sure, much appreciated.
-
Seems the best of your tillers man. Great character bow.
-
'Center shot' thats what I meant. Really nice job with the handle.
-
Very nice, Congratulations
-
Sweet, gotta love that wiggle :-*

Nice work, I like that one .

Nice looking bow I really like the character in it.

Love the handle on that one! The top limb seems a tad stiff near the fade, but its minor, your tiller looks great. Keep forging ahead.

Nice character and bend on that one, Sleek!! 8)
-
It has been said before...
I think the top limb is a bit stiff.
We are dealing with organic materials and nothing fits the 'modern' definition of perfect.
Shooting arrows reliably is perfect enough for me.
Good work.
Just the right amount of wiggle for me.
I gotta get some osage one of these days....

Your tillering skills are far exceed your computer skills! And that is just fine by me, keep posting character bows like this one and we can excuse all kinds of character flaws. >:D
The bare bow look really accentuates the grip area, I encourage you to NOT add a leather grip. She's too pretty to dress up. Thanks for posting her, she's a beauty!
