thanks Tracy.i think i am really getting addicted with the leather.i have been making something every night after work.i had to look at things other people had made me to figure out how they stitched the stuff.pm me your address and i'll make you one.i just got a ton of that snakeskin print leather.

Looks good! Leather work definitely lets you get your creative juices flowing. If you need any advice or ideas, I found a really good leatherworking forum about a year ago. You should check it out at leatherworker.net
If you're anything like me, you'll soon be doing more leatherwork than bowyering!
-
thanks cameroo,i already am.
-
That looks really great! What did you use for the stitching?
-
Very nice, Steve and especially since it is your first project. I love leatherwork. I owned a custom leather shop in Savannah 35 years ago and still dabble in it a bit. I especially like hand stitching.
-
thanks guys.i used a two hole punch and hand stitched it with two needles.
-
Looks good, love to get better at it myself but like you I don't need another hobby. :) :)

Nice work! I too enjoy leather working. I make some home-made knifes from time to time, and make my own leather sheaths for them.
-
Let me know when your taking order Stevey!
-
will do Chris.if you can wait a little,i am going to get some small buckles and sew on some straps instead of using stretch cord.heck i can't find black stretch cord anyway.someone asked what i used for the stitching.it is artificial sinew.
-
