I have a pepper tree in my backyard and I was wondering if it is good bow wood. Has anyone tried it yet?

I don't know what a pepper tree is but now I'm curious, gonna goggle it. Where do you live, is this a southern variety?

If you do, keep in mind that the wood is highly poisonous as you can see in the article. It's in the sumac family and none of the species of that family that I know of in my area are at all suitable for bows (smooth, winged and staghorn sumac, smoketree, etc.), being weak wooded.
