I posted these arrows a couple days ago... and here's the bow that goes with them. Here yah go Cam... I finally got off my arse and took some pics!...  ;D

-
				I dont see the bow???

-
Gimme a sec!! I was just posting when your reply messed me up!! :( :(

OK... here we go... maple backed ipe pyramid bow. 68" ntn, 74#@28". 1.5" wide at the fades, tapering to 3/8" nocks. Bulbous handle. The handle looked so nice, I didn't want to cover it up! Kinda like chocolate & vanilla ice cream! So, I inlaid a round maple arrow pass, and this bow will be shot off the fist.
This bow was made for a friend of ours who helped us build our cabin. At 74#, I'm not sure what he's going to do with it... shoot elephants maybe??
-
Aaargh... I'm having trouble posting the rest of the pics! I'll try again in a bit.

-
Another try... the money shot, of course.

It seems my lips disappear when I'm drawing the heavier bows!! ;D ;D
-
				WOW! gorgeous!

-
wasnt me this time.....I was eager to see the bow..

A very nice looking bow, nice contrasting wood colours.....strong bow!!!
-
Realy love those color contrasts. Tiller looks spot on.

-
For such a heavy, short, flatbow it only took 1" of set. Ipe is such good belly wood... I love it. Just a couple more pics of the nocks and brace profile.

-
All I can say about this one is SMOOTH!! Great job, Adam!! 8)

-
Thanks, Kenny! This one shoots good and hard, as one might expect at 74#. Not a target bow, however! I tried to talk my friend out of such a heavy bow, but he was adamant. Go figure.

-
				That's a "pretty" mean bow  ;)

-
First.  Those arrows are incredible.   All I could think of is "those must have taken a long time" and "sweeeeet!".

When I saw the bow the first thing that came to my mind was "WOW".    I'm in awe.  Such incredible work.  Very well done.  I love the contrast.  NICE BOW!
-
For all you mass theory buffs... this bow weighs 640 grams.

-
				nice contrast 8)

-
That's a beautiful wood combination.  I got to draw this bow a few times, and it's nice and smooth.  Your buddy is going to love it.

-
Hey, that's really nice.  The maple/ipe combination sure is pretty.  Nice job.

-
Like Lesken said, that looks smooth.  I bet it hits hard too.

-
				Very nice. Great colors

-
That's another great looking bow. The colors are a nice combo. Again, excellent craftsmanship. Well done.

-
The color contrast in the wood is beautiful, bet its a nice shootin bow as well.

-
				Just awesome.

-
Looks great! Where did you find maple with straight enough grain for the back? Quarter sawn, or flat?

-
What's the thickness of the limbs (depth) to get that draw weight?

-
sweet mother of pearl. excellent. Can it get any better?

-
				That's a beauty of a beast. :)

Lots of searching! It's quarter sawn.
-

The limbs are 0.7" thick, pretty much their entire length, as would be normal for a pyramid bow.
-
wow dude that's a sexy bow. Great weight. I know what you mean about lips disapearing lol. I bet that's a great shooter! Gotta love heavier weights!

-
Bit heavy for me for a target style bow, or an everyday shooter. I don't even go that high for hunting weight. I find 50-55# is plenty, and I'm way more accurate. Not sure what my buddy wants to do with it... like I said, maybe he wants to go elephant hunting!
