Heres a R/D BBO I glued up a month or so ago at Roys("roy from pa" on trad gang) while I was helping him with a yew selfbow. The handle is walnut and curly maple, and horn tip overlays. Specs are 67 1/2" ntn,50@28",18.6 ounces mass weight,12"long handle section but 14" of the center is stiff,1 3/8" at the fades and just over .300" at the string grooves. This ones been done for a few days and ive played with a couple different leathers for the handle, but i didnt like what i was seeing, and to cover up the handle. I might still put a wrap on it,i dont know. I couldnt do this one justice pic wise, but oh well, and the wife didnt get home till twilight and i took a couple full draw pics but there dark and fuzzy....sorry, i know the rules...ill try to get a better one in daylight tomorrow

Great looking bow cant wait to see the full draw.
-
Thats nice Chris but I'd like to see thinner outer limbs and tips on the next one >:D
Bet that sucker really spits an arrow and I love the finish and dark bamboo back, sweet bow.
Greg
-
Very nice! I like it. Can't wait to see the full draw.
-
Spectacular! I bet it's a screamer. I trust you enough to not see a full draw pic... But I still want to see it. ;D
-
Great looking bow Chris, looks like a screamer! I would leave the handle exposed ifn it were mine. Too pretty to cover up.
-
I think he is working up the courage for the full draw. Them are some scary thin tips!! ;D
-
Should you ever run out of arrows with this one, you could just run up and jab the target with those narrow pointy tips!
I feel certain this thing has your traditional excellent to perfect tiller, but like everyone else, ...I'd sure like to see it bent back just the same!

Doing a glue up? Are you feeling all right? Beautiful bow!
-
Very nicely done :)
-
Very nice bow. Those tips are narrow indeed, they certainly aren't catching much wind.
-
Man Cris, thats a beautiful bow! I love the way you get you tips narrow, something graceful about it. Great work:)
-
Artwork!
-
thanks guys ;)
ill try to get em smaller next time greg...looks like i gotta make another bow to get it right ...oh darn
yeah paul...every great once in awhile ill do a glue up(natural materials only)
i wood hope by now that most folks realize how narrow you can go with tips and still have plenty of durability..im hard on my bows and they take a beating, and ive never had any problems with them...theyve been tossed across creeks, slid down hillsides, used as walking sticks with a 40 pound pack on,and once i took a spill with my pack on and fell on the bow on rocks...just some dings in me bow and me pride hurt, but no breakage
-
sweet bow. Looks deadly.
Jon
-
Yeah i know that one shoots FASST.
-
Don't cover the handle. I don't know why anyone would, its like putting a tarp over a piece of art.
-
Beautiful bow,very sleek and I bet it's fast. :)
Pappy
-
That is a beautiful bow and that handle is way too pretty to cover up. More, more!
-
Those tips should be measured in microns. >:D
-
Cool. Elegant. Nice. Wonderful craftmannship. :-)
-
Why are you wasting Osage by putting that junk on the back !!LOL
Fun to do something alittle differant once and awhile!!
Another goo job !
Take care !!
Guy
-
Top drawer. Nothing more needs to be said.
-
Yeah...all the above ..very elegant.....you could'nt post a close of those tips could you???
-
thanks guys...all the requested pics are edited in the first page with all the rest of the pics
and it seems an overwhelming vote to leave the handle naked...im cool with that 8)
lol guy...yeah its nice to break things up n mix it up every once in a while
just got done shooting her again,n man is she smooooth as silk :)
-
I guess its "ok"......for a cookie cutter bow......
-
I was loving those front profile pics, then I got down to the side profile pic and was blown away as I put it all together! I bet she is an all around pleasure to shoot.
-
The full draws do not disappoint. Wow! Any plans to Chrono that one? I am sure it's fast as heck, ...despite being crafted from that "inferior extra heavy Osage crap". ::) ::) ::)

OK... I guess you weren't scared after all. I love the full draw. I bet she shoots sweet!! ;)
-
I was thinking the same thing Kenny! "That wuss isnt posting a FD because he's scared the tips are gonna break off and hit 'em in the eye".
-
I guess its "ok"......for a cookie cutter bow......
Ok Roy...lol
-
Thanks cmb,onebow,and Kenny.
No need to chrono an "inferior" piece of wood onebow...lol
-
Full draw pics look great! Again, Very well done :)
-
Very nice looking bend , stunning bow Chris.
-
THAT BOW IS AWESOME. Well done man! well done.
-
wow those tips are awesome! Love how the R/D unbraced profile is hidden when the bow is drawn. I bet it's hella fast too.
-
Full draw looks great! I bet it shoots smooth, for an osage bow.... :)
-
Thanks all ;)
Yeah Howard it is smooth for an osage...but I bet a poplar would be better ..still lmao
-
Thats a hell of a nice bow, whitch off course i didnt believe untill the FD pic was postet.
I mean, why should a guy not post the FD....because it sucks...
This one doesnt suck for sure  I Love the bend on this one as well as the dark Boo, did you stain it or maybe burned it?
Regards Leo
-
Thanks Leo..I used a dye called trans-tint on the boo.
