This is my first bow, its made of maple. I'v had it for about 8 months now and I'm working on two more bows from the sister staves of this one. Arrows are Oak. Please tell me what you think :)

Looks pretty cool to me.

I dunno if it is just me, but I have a hard time making out much detail on the bow with the sepia tone.
Maple has been the basis of more than one decent bow powted in here and I have a particular fondness for it...but usually when it is all curly and part of a flintlock rifle's stock!
Don't be shy, post a few more pics showing details. And remember, add that full draw picture!

Looks good. More pics! More pics! More pics!

put up some more pics for you :)

Thanks! Some of us aren't very bright and we like looking at pretty pictures!
Looks like a pretty good tillering job. What are the measurements on your beauty?
-
Its 59'' tip to tip and pulls around 25# @ 28''. it came out lighter than i had hoped so im trying to making the next one a bit heavier.

Thats funny: I said exactly the same thing about my first bow. I suspect a healthy majority of us had that experience :) Thanks for sharing; looking forward to seeing more!

Glad you were successful with that one. Good luck on the first two! Yeah, the first couple of mine came in really light, too!!

That bow looks pretty darn nice for a first bow indeed. Like George said you got a nice bend on that tillering job and it didn't break so it's
quite an accomplishment on you first. Very nice bow and please show us more. :)
