Title: bow finishes
Post by: andybutrick on December 13, 2012, 11:35:57 pm
Has anybody tried penofin verde?  It's brazilian rosewood oil.  I just blew $50 on a gallon.  I have a wonderful bow to finish, and finally decided on this product.  I hope it works well.

I've never heard of it but we are always looking for new information. Let us know how it works.

TruOil costs way more than $50/gal but it takes a tiny amount to finish a bow.

I am digging blonde shellac flakes right now.  I can apply up to 12 coats in a day if needed.  Provides a satin finish that seems to absorb all light. Ans is reported to be one of the best "waterproofing" finishes.
