Title: need help with a lim repair
Post by: wytetale on October 12, 2007, 01:53:51 pm
Made a tri-lam Boo Backed with Osage belly and Bloodwood core. After I shot it I noticed a small crack in the upper lim in the Osage. I sanded it out and put another piece of Osage in its spot. Glued it in with urac-185. I have shot the bow since and it shoots great but I want to wrap over the piece so i wont ever have to worry about it ever popping out. Could I wrap it with sinew and if so how would I glue it up never used the stuff before .I have some tightbond lll if that works. open for any suggestions. Here is a pic of the lim

Take your sinew and hydrate it.I then put some TB3 in my hand and pull the sinew through it and then wrap a few layers around the patch.I would then cover it with some colored thread and put some on the other limb to match the repair.
