Post by: lesken2011 on January 12, 2013, 10:57:19 pm: I had some "scrap pieces of ipe and white oak that were cut of 1" thick boards. I made a 1" wide white oak backed ipe and was amazed at how well it was turning out....easily in the 50# range at 60" t2t......until....I got cute and tried to get out some saw marks on the sides with the belt sander... Not much room for error when you start with an inch wide!!! ::)
