Title: First 2 fletch w/ duck feathers.
Post by: tgtmatt on January 13, 2013, 10:07:42 pm
I recently acquired some duck wings and cut off all the appropriate feathers. Since there is not as many duck feathers on a wing as I would like I decided to make a 2-fletch. It turned out pretty good and will fly tomorrow.

Hope they fly well for you.  How long are the feathers/fletchers?

5 inches if you don't count how I bent the feather back. So full feather would be 5.5 but the part that is technically the fletch is 5.

Those should do the job nicely. That's how I do most of mine. Chicken feathers work good like that too (or any smaller bird feathers)
They fly real good (long as both feathers come from the same wing)
