ok everyone had an archery related accident today and to tell the truth im ashamed of what happened, so much so i don't want you guys to know what really happened. so heres what im going to tell everyone to entertain your imagination.
[i was up in the montains of india (kind of supprising scince just yesterday i was in the UK) i heard a twig break behind me and whithin seconds an arrow whiped out of my quiver and i was at full draw. thats when the mountain lion pounced on me i sent the arrow clean through his heart but he still carried on towards me his claw caught my arm and his weight snaped my christmas tree bow. and here i am now]
iv'e had 7 stitches and a badage arround my arm. im in bed now because my mum says i need "rest" the worst bit is tomorrow im doing a 20 mile hike. heres a photo bucket picture of it

Good thinking! ::) Reminds me of the day I got bucked off my friend's mule on my head! The first thing I did was jump up and look around to see if anyone was looking! Another time I accidentally rode my mule into a deep Innocent looking bog hole. There must have been a crocodile in there as I came up with a $1000 hole in my palm. :-\ Joe

i wish, it now means i have to use a light weight bow instead of my 40# one im using my moms 23# one and my shots are all over the place. SS

Ok, two things here:
1. Don't be too afraid to tell what really happened. To me that shows pride and if it happened from not listening to others advice to begin with, it will most likely happen again. Next time might be more than a little gash on the arm.
2. It is really time to slow things down here and wait until you've got the proper tools/materials to build a SAFE usable bow. I'm all for tinkering and experimenting but it's not worth a serious injury.
Heal quick and listen to the people here, they are trying to help you.

I once stood beside a guy that was flight shooting a 70 # recuver with a 40 # spined arrow.
It splintered and the feather half went into his arm. After I pulled the arrow and PEICES OF SHAFT OUT. IT LOOKED LIKE THE SAME KIND OF WOUND.

That's just the prosthetics wax that he forgot to cover with corn syrup and food coloring. lol

you guys really think i did all this to make a thread. nope this is real. that white stuff is cream i was gonna put on it but decided not to. im not trying to fool anyonethe cut was only 1" long. just because people don't belive me and a guy here said what happend ill tell you. i was shooting a longbow and the feather was not glued on right and part went in my arm. just to show im telling the truth before there removed ill get a pic of the stitches. SS

Squirrel seems like a weird one thats for sure. Your posts are all over the place and no one can get a feel for who you are or when your serious. I take it you are in your mid teens. Please just be yourself. You can joke around with people on here but you dont have to outright lie about every little thing. Just my two cents

That is a one inch long cut, from a feather, while shooting someone else's longbow? I can't even imagine how that is possible. Did they treat you for shock at hospital? You are either a pathological liar or you have such little respect for the people on this forum that you post this crap and think it is cute. I take back what I said if this is real, but I don't think so.

Come on man, this is an archery forum, take it serious. I joined this forum when I was 11 and I was more serious than you are now. The people on this forum are kind and very helpful but do no disrespect them with these made up stories or else they are not going to read your posts anymore. Sorry if this offend you but I'm just trying to help ya out. Just my 2 cents.
