Title: Trilam ELB dimensions?
Post by: Prarie Bowyer on February 17, 2013, 01:34:52 pm
So I keep making a club.  I'm looking to get a sense of what the dimensions of wood need to be if I'm making a 40# ELB win bamboo backed hickory with a Carbon Bamboo Core.

I want it to look like it bends in the handle... and it could.  It needs to look right.  I look at the bickerstaff website and they make them with 4 layers.  But I know that thre is alot of LSs added for each seam so I'm mystified as to how they do that and don't get a 300 lb bow.

I'm looking to make a simple straight stick that bends uniformly with a round belly.  This shouldn't be this hard.
