Title: My unseen knife and quiver
Post by: madcrow on March 02, 2013, 01:14:27 am
I figured that since pics of what I sent out for the Christmas Exchange never got posted, I would go ahead and do it.  Thanks for looking.

Very nice combo Madcrow! It looks like you put a lot of time and effort into it. That is the only negative about the trade this year is that too many didn't post pics :( . The magazine use to run an article about the trade with pics of recipients and their gifts in the Xmas edition.

Very cool set up MC. I promise my camera flash would have been going "poof" a few times if it where mine.

I was just showing off a new knapped gift knife I got from Scott "Stringman" to my dad. We both agreed that it was pretty amazing to think that there is only ONE like it in the world. That alone demands pictures be taken and shared. 99.5% of the crafts we do on this site are one of a kind never to be duplicated exact. Thats something to ponder......

Very nice! I also didnt get pics up of what I recieved. On the trail of pic to iphone to computer to site I often get lost and have to suppress urge to smash gadgets.

I love the lines on that knife.  All stock removal or was there forging involved?

madcrow, I have to appologize for not getting those pics posted .You sent me some great items I,m sorry. Between looking for work and taking any shifts I can get while trying to keep the household in order it got put on the back burner and I just lost track of getting it done. No excuse just an explination. I'm glad you posted them though, you did some great work .

Anthony, I wasn't looking for an apology, excuse or reason.  I just posted because a couple of people wanted to see them.  I wasn't scolding you for not posting.  I hope the job hunt works out for you.  That by itself can be a pain sometimes.

Pekane, I did hit it a few times, but it was more stock removal than anything else.  I need to make a sheath for the second ugliest knife I ever forged, so that will be coming up soon.

That looks like a really useful quiver design.  Nice craftsmanship too!
