I was wondering if anyone has ever tryed there hand at useing red wood as a bow ? I just picked up a peice the other day and it looked like it might just work . If not i can allways use it for bow handle blanks . I just moved to a new state and had to leave a shop full of ERC , Osage ,Oak, HHB, Mullberry, :-[ o well at least the staves well be nice and seasoned when i go back . As for now all i have to work with are red oak boards. After makeing bows from tree staves sence i was 7 it was really strange makeing them useing boards kind of felt like i was cheating some how .But i guess one has to use what one has at the time . Have a good day guys . Sandman
