March 29 – 30, 2013 - 12th Annual Knap-In – If you are a knapper or want to start knapping, this is the weekend for you to be at Mammoth Spring State Park (Arkansas). Knappers will be demonstrating the primitive art of making & using stone tools and points. Knapping tools and materials will be available for beginners who want to get started. Event is free to spectators. Knappers pay a $10 registration fee. Demonstrations both days 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. near the ball field. Contact Glenda Pryor for more info [870]-625-7364 or e-mail glenda.pryor@arkansas.gov (http://glenda.pryor@arkansas.gov). I believe they can provide some space at the knap in site for camping, but electricity will be limited.
Also, Glenda is in need of a couple of judges for a competition, so please contact her if you can assist.
Mammoth Springs State Park is located in north central Arkansas a mile from the Missouri border.
