The neck of my girlfriends guitar broke off right under where the tuner knobs are, and it would cost more than the guitar is worth to get it fixed. But its too pretty just to trash it, so we're looking for ideas of things we can make it into.
Right now we're thinking that we could mount small round speaker in the hole and use it as a speaker. Also I could mount a clock in the hole. I've seen some coffee tables about too.
Any ideas of things I could make this into?

You could improve your wood making skills and make you own neck, using the other one as a refrence, a piece of maple with a slab of rosewood on top. drill a hole down the center of your new neck and take the truss rod out of the old neck. You could even salvage the fretwire off the old neck and the tuning pegs to save some money

Birdhouse.

You should look up Sterling aka Skyarrow. He repairs guitars.

Hell, if the grain is good enough on the neck, go break another one, splice the necks, and make a bow!

If you can splice a bow handle why not try to splice it yourself and make a guitar out of it. Mike

Can we see some pics is it an acustic or electric and is it a bolt on or glued on style if bolt on you can buy a good cheap neck to replace it but if glued on you can make anything from the guitarbody.....bowl, speakers, small tables, lamps/shadow boxes , and even a cajon drum if you install a snare system on the inside

I've got it stored away from the apartment at the moment, but I'll get some pics up on Sunday. I believe the neck is glued on though.
I'm leaning towards making it a speaker but my girlfriend doesn't seem to keen on that for some reason. I dunno, we'll see.
