Title: my last osage tree of the year

the sap is coming up fast this week think this will be my last tree except for maybe a hickory,,this was a 20in tree really smooth wood and got about 50 bows out of it kinda sad to stop cutting but my back will be glad :laugh:

WOW wish I could just go into the woods n fell a tree.. stupid english laws dont let you have any fun!

Osagejack.  when you say the sap is rising, what does that do that causes you to not cut osage?

that just means the tree is filling back up with water,,in the winter the sap is down less water,,when the sap is up the bark will slip and they are more prone to cracking and splitting,,the wood will be soaked with sap,,,i am sure someone on here can explain it better than me,,
