does anyone know the best way to split bone. i've tried and cant get the ends to break off without it breaking off at odd angles. and it wont fallow the grooves i've etched in to it.

scribe your grooves deeper.

Also get all the oils out of the bone from the Marrow.

Are those marrow oils good for anything?

I have saved a bunch and used it for tanning hides before.

couple of different ways of splitting bone - I prefer a Dremel with a reinforces cutting wheel. Got to get the oil out to make it more brittle. It has got to be dry to get it to crack right - bury it in sand and cook it a bit - cutt off the ends and clean the marrow out - try a few different methods to get what it is you think you want.
