Not the first time for a sighting by any means, but the first time snapping a pic in line with my PC. The deer will move out in a week or two and the turkeys will take over. The turkeys HAMMER on our basement windows with their spurs and beaks. Stupid birds. You can barely see out two of the windows because they are so scratched up. And, when they are doing it you can walk right up to the window from inside and they dont care at all, great view. No kiddin'. Ive been 2' from a full strut tom that was 100% wild.

Cool picture. Do they come that close in hunting season?
-
Yup they do, same with turkeys. I leave them alone and just watch. Last years EHD virus knocked the numbers way down in my township. I went from daily sightings for years to weekly sightings, someties bi-weekly.

So cool, Chris

The deer is about 8-9 yards away in that pic.

That is a great window to drink coffee by ' Frank

When I was a 16 year old in New Jersey, I'd hang out the window at night and smoke a cigarette. Fully mature bucks would sometimes walk just underneath me through the yard, no clue. Good picture.

Nice view! I think turkeys are the dumbest smart birds around.

Cool Pic Chris. I get to watch/see Deer and Turkeys most every day, but usually not that close (during daylight anyway). Been watching a Bachelor group of 8 as of late - really enjoy it. Bob

Nice picture, Chris. Is that a poison ivy vine climbing up your tree?
-
Rub it in, Chris! ::)

From the bedroom windows we have been watching maybe three hundred head of elk grazing on the hill side across the river. Must not be any wolves around as the elk are really spread out with some grazing and some laying down! The horn hunters are out and they are worse tresspassers than the hunters! Joe

Oh buddy! That stuff is EVERYWHERE outside the house. Im thinking of grabbing some of the ivy killer that screws to the garden hose.

I've got the ivy bad at my place too, Chris. Often, I walk with pruners in my pocket and snip a chunk out of the vines. I'll never catch them all but somehow I feel I'm making a difference. I think it chokes out the trees.
