Had the urge to get some of my wood tools out and make a board bow. I really need to work on my shooting so I wanted a simple longbow to turn into my everyday shooter. Hick backed jatoba, 66.5 ntn, 56lbs@27", ipe tips, bone shelf, 1/8 lace wrapped handle, 5 coat of tru oil. Glued in 3" of reflex and seams to still have a 1 to
1 1/2 left. This is my 3rd backed jatoba bow and I like it. Thanks for looking!

I like that combo. I've been punching out basic ELB's for the SCA out of hickory and Jatoba lately.

Looks good. What type of glue do you use?
-
titebond 3. I clean with acetone before glue up. Inner tube clamps

Beautiful. What's your source for the wood?

Thanks for the nice comments guys. Yea blackhawk, I was getting sick of my knotty, wind checked, prop twisted osage. Felt like making a bow that did not require a heat gun.
