Title: osage with hole (let see your bows with holes)

I was working down some staves this morn  and came across this nice one with a hole centered in the upper limb,,just only wish it had one in the other limb,,but still nice find,,

One of my buddy Marty's. He's got one bigger that you can fit a medium sized closed fist thru...don't think I have a pic of that one around anywhere...lemme go look tho ;)

wow that is big,,lets see everyones bows with holes,, I once had one I could fit an egg through,,i am trying to find one with a hole in each limb in exactly the same place

Ha...I found a pic of it when it was still a stave n before he made a bow of it....somebody top this baby  8) I doubt anyone can cus I've never seen one bigger...and although I haven't been around the block as much as guys like pappy,I've been around it a time or two myself,n still haven't seen one in person bigger....

wow, i have a bow in the works with 5 holes in each limb. there combined size will be bigger than that one. does that count  :P SS

I just got one shooting with an alright sized hole in it, maybe silver dollar size. Ill snap a pic when I get home.

I think I remember seeing one at the great lakes longbow one year that had  big hole in the handle and he shot the arrow through it

Mostly finish work now JW.  I put about 3 hundred arrows through it yesterday.  Now I'm working on the whitetail horn nocks or should I say antler nocks?  Josh

Yeah its a maple bow and each limb has 5 knots in each limb. Will post pics when done but ive got lots of revision coming up for exams.  Ill probably continue with it in june/July so until then keep postin these awsome bows. SS

The one I'm working on now is a little different, but no fur let.

Mike, I am going on a bear hunt the same week as the classic.
I will be taking my new bow. Dave will hook up with you at the
classic.

The finish I use is tung oil, dipped.
