I started this bow last year, but ran into some problems and had to modify it.
It was from a stave I got from Pappy in 2010. It ended up 68" NTN and 50#
at 28".

When I was working on this bow, the bottom side delaminated
and I put the bow over in the corner. Last year I set up a bear
hunt with a couple of friends and thought about a take-down.
Thanks for looking.

Guy's, I shoot with Chuck at Hawkeye and not only is it a sweet shooting bow but it hits the target hard.
I pitty the bear that steps in front of Chuck when he's shooting that bow.

It is ethical to use a peep sight on a self bow?
-
That is something to see for sure. Thanks for sharing.

Well, we'll expect pics of your bear hunt. ;)

With all these holey bows you make have you ever actually considered making one centershot?

Amazing ...

Marks
I have one that is center shot. I started it at the classic a couple a years ago.
The problem I had was with the flight of the arrow. The arrow had to be perfect
or it would hit the side. I have it in the corner and have to get back to it.
Chuck
-
Yeah I can see that being more difficult than it sounds
-
Thats a true eye candy that is!

Thanks guys.
There was three of us hunting in northern Alberta, two self bow guys
and one wheel guy. Everybody else either had wheels or a gun. My
friend Kevin got two with his self bow. I was waiting for a 7' bear for
my second one, but did not have the opportunity for it. I've been on
several bear hunts, but this was the best ever. Seen over 20 bears
the whole week.
