I will be there,hopefully Wen.before daylight,Jon and Chuck are supposed to come with me and also maybe Grant/Chris and Brian/Hunter Collingsworth. You all know how that goes but they said they were coming. :-\ :-\ All I know for sure is if I am living I will be there. See yall in a little over a month,by the way I see Kevin from ElmHall is on PA now,very cool. :)

That would be Brian and Pappys doing's. They whip them up from venison a few nights prior to the meal. If your real nice, Brian just might give you a pack to take home!

Kevin measures all the ingredients and weighs the meat,he keeps us all straight,all I do is mash it all together. It has taken them several years and lot of trial and error to get them just like they like them,and yes they are great. :) :) I go to help for the free beer. ;) ;D ;D

We have the first official work day for the shoot June 25th. Gotta sort out all the targets and get them ready to go. Im not a part of all of it, but I know it takes and incredible effort and huge amount of physical work to make it all go down smooth as it has for 23 years prior. Massive amounts of corn on the cob, brats and such are made each year. Enough to feed hundreds and hundreds of people. If your within 4-6 hours of the club you owe it to yourself to make it once, you'll be back every year after. The club grounds are huge. If your a private type person you can always find a quiet camp site regardless of the amount of folks around.

I was planning on starving myself till the evening feast, but since Paul's there I'd might as well throw in an order for corned beef and 2 eggs over medium for breakfast. I like to sleep in a bit so go ahead and warm the skillet on others orders and wake me when it's ready around 10 or so.   >:D

Joking aside I hope you do get the chance to make the shoot. Last year was my first time and it is great!

Ill be darn close to where I was last year, I just need to find a touch more shade. I was blasted by the sun all day last year. Hawkey had the best spot back in them white pines.

I should be there also, I think I got the OK from the little woman. Not sure when, my buddy Steve might be coming too. If Steve comes,I'm bringing my pop up, if not I'm suppose to be in the bus with Pappy,Jon,Chuck and David, at lease that's what Rocky said at Cloverdale, but that could of been Dr. McGillicuddy talking. If I'm alone I'll be there Thursday, if Steve's with me, we'll be there Friday, just not sure what time.  I hope it all works out .   BDan

I did Pat and loved EVERY minute of it! But I never really sat down with Jon or Pappy, just a few passing waves mostly. Elm Hall is big, but slow paced and relaxed, Im sure we will have plenty of sit down time.

   Steve (ThunderNose) and I will be up Thursday afternoon/evening depending on when we leave and how long a drive. I figure 8 hours. I'm bringing the pop-up, will there be room to put it by the bus. What about showers, water? Do I need to bring that with me. Can't wait to go. Will see David next week at Cloverdale for the IBO.   I'll see everyone in 3weeks.  BDan

Dan there are no showers in the club house. There is a nice bathroom for a bird bath if you need one. And there is plenty of water to fill and re-fill all you need. The bus is new this year, hard to say where it may be parked or if there will be room for a pop up near by. The club grounds are huge and you have about 50-60 acres of space to set up camp.

What's a shower?  ??? ...never heard of it before..  ::) ....I take a West Virginia bath n jump in da crick once every couple months to clean up.... ;D

This has to be the best trad shoot in the state.  Daughter in law and five kids wants to come so I will be bringing the trailer for her and the kids to stay in.  Makes life a little easier especially when the youngest is 6 months old.!!!

I ask Rocky while in at the Classic this spring if I could put on a novelty shoot fundraiser with ALL proceeds going to the Old Warrior Camp in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for Wounded Warriors .  Without hesitation the answer was YES.

It ought not be that long a drive for you Dan,I drive it in a little over 8 hours.
Plenty of water but no shower,We will make room for the camper close to us.
We will be there Tuesday evening/night depending on when we get away.Leaving as soon as I can get away from work, By 10 or 11 am I hope. :) In the bus I have Me/Jon/Jon's brother Dan/Chuck/Dave. I think that is it.  :-\ Sleeps 5 without a cot. Grant and Dan are coming the same time but using Grant's tent.Not sure about Brian ,Hunter and Chris but I would be suprised if they go.I also haven't talked to Bob/Nelly and Gary yet but assume they will be in our camp also along with several more of the regulars that always stay with us. :) :) Can't wait.see yall soon. :) Matt I will be in the bus ,so let it rain. ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D Just kidding,hot ant good but rain is much worse and man have we had it around here,over 4 inches this last weekend and more last night.  :)

My wife and I are planning on coming too, really looking forward to it. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the
people so much at the classic that we had to get to another one of these events again this year. The rain
at the classic didn't dampen our spirits any and I'm sure it wouldn't at Elm Hall either but it would be nice
to have good weather. :)  Getting there on thursday, can't wait, gonna be fun.

Great Greg,ask where the Tennessee camp is and come visit or camp close by,didn't get much time at the Classic,I have a little less to do at this one. ;) :) :) :) :) Talked to Rocky and the bus is set and he said their was plenty of room for Br. Dan's camper and Grants set up,more room in that little circle he makes off for us than you think ,if you watch how folks set up. :)

Got your spot all trimmed up, bush whacked and taped off Pappy. I carved out a small spot to the north of you under a big white pine, should get me lots of shade! The two ranges are laid out and look pretty good through my eyes. We got a lot of work done Saturday morning.

absolutely Pappy, I was getting a little low on the brat casings but my latest order came in so we are all set now.
All of the brush-hogging is done at the club but there is still lots to be done. we have several work nights between now and the shoot but it will all come together like it always does.
Chris (pearl drums) was there last weekend to help out with the course layout (very much appreciated) and we will have a nice course split into two again this year so you can stop back at your campsite for a cold refreshment if need be. Looking fwd to the event.

Went out and bought a portable shower enclosure and set it up today in the yard to make sure all the parts were
there. Since I'm bringing the wife to this event and we are going for 3 days she insist that I shower at least once in that time :o.
After I set it up I got an idea on how to help pay for it, I'll allow others to use it for a small fee. So if any of you need
to clean up heres the fee schedule: >:D

Basic shower...... 50 cents
If your really dirty ,maybe...... 75 cents
If your not real dirty and your willing to carry the shower bag to the spigot and refill...... 25 cents
If you willing to share a shower with a buddy, (none of my business), two for ...... 75 cents
On second thought....... no shared showers allowed

Please bring your own towels, towel service not provided.  :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

The 3D courses are all set and looking great! We really put a lot of thought into each and every shot and added a twist of fun as well. It seems adding a scenario to the shot really helps. We made a bunch of "ground blinds" and such to add a spark. I think anybody who shoots them really enjoy it. See you guys in a few days!

Me and Jake (now educated) had a grand time! Its my last event for the summer and it was a hard goodbye for me. I have a pile of pics to post tonite, mostly the same as Pauls, but ALOT better! It was great to see and meet all those wild eyed southern boys to. The PA representation was very strong. Good work board members!

 In all seriousness Dan, Drew, Chris, Greg and Pauly. I appreciated the way you guys treated Jake around the campfire and courses. He felt like he was one of the gang and it made him very happy and very confident, he needs all that he can get. He really was a totally different kid all weekend. Im proud to call you guys my friends.

Spent all day Saturday with my Wounded Warrior fundraiser.  A marine buddy of mine (M 60 machine gunner) gave up his shooting Saturday to help out.  One of the many highlights was when Pappy came by and shot the breeze with me and then went into his wallet to help out. Pappy was very generous and his donation helped us raise  $231.92 in 6 hours for the Old Warrior Camp in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  This camp puts up Disable Vets at no cost to them and these funds will help defray the costs.  Again , thanks to all that helped.

thanks to the P.R.R.C for putting on another fantastic event.
I had a blast.
I just wish I had more than 1 day to spend this year.
saw a lot of old friends and made a few new ones.
lookin forward to next year already
the 25th  anniversary should be a blast.

That was some good wine Kevin! The last one is another PA gangsta' pic. Steve (Yew archer) was missing from the photo. I wont tell you why, you may never talk to him again.. :-X. Had a blast! My first trip to Elm Hall but likely not my last. Hanging out with and getting to know all you guys in person was great, not a bad apple in the whole bunch of varied characters in attendance. ;D 
Fun times hanging around Pearly, Jake and Paul's camp. Had some good laughs with Pappy in his and our camp.
Nice to finally meet The Chamookamon (bob) and visit a bit with Matt also. Good to see Blackhawk and his good
looking family in person. Nice meeting Brother Dan and Otis. Met Rocky and Kevin, two great guys who along with
with all the many others who make this happen I says thanks gang, you throw a great party.
The BS, jokes and laughs I had on the range with Paul, Jake, Pearl, Blackhawk, Dan and Drew were worth the trip alone.
Got a few pics from the weekend but other than one of Paul having some sword fun they are all of Sharon, my
daughter Sam and Sharon's friend Janet on the range. Wish I had taken some of all my PA friends but was to
caught up in the fun to think to get the camera out. Anyway heres some of the girls who by the way loved the
event and the good natured people and wanna make it back next year also.

I failed to take any pics as usual when I get to having a good time. This was my second year at this shoot and it's probably my favorite. The courses are great, the people top notch and the food second to none. It was great to visit with people I don't get to see enough. It was great to meet so many of you folks for the first time as well. I always enjoy seeing everyone's bows and walking the course with folks. I only wish I could have made it there sooner.

I want to thank all the guys who put on this shoot. This was my first time and I loved it. I hope I can make it next year for the 25th. Had great weather, met many new friends that I proably will forget some of their names until I meet them again and then it will sink in. Thanks Rocky for showing Steve and I around the club and you house, talk about a man cave, let me know when you want me to come up and take care of some those deer for ya.  Thanks again,  BDan
