There are a massive number of nice saplings of Bradford pear.... Any use?

Crappy wood for a bow.

Always the first tree to break in a snow/ice storm, wouldn't consider it.

Run a search for "bradford". It has been discussed pretty recently. I know you'll be able to find it! :D

Crap in tension due to ultra-short fibers, might be good in compression, is hard and fine-grained, when stained black is a substitute for ebony. I'd like to see a sinew backed bradford pear someday.

Just try it and find out

Harmonica makers use pear wood, its not supposed to harbor germs from the mouth.
