well..my first trade bow came in too light so I decided to take out a bow I started a couple of years ago. it is a bamboo backed yew in a homy style it has zebra wood to reinforce the handle area. I worked this bow out to be 55#@28" it is 65" long. limbs are 1.5" wide and taper in the last 12", has 3/8" tips. the handle is made of antelope with a ebony arrow shelf...really small. a really fast shooter. this is on the top of the poundage scale but the tiller seemed really good so I didnt want to mess up ;D I hate having this go to the last minute but this has been a busy spring, hope the new owner will like it. will ship out tomorrow to:....oh crud, I forgot who I was making this for ::)

more pics. finish is tung oil.

That bow is graceful in the extreme, niiiiiice.
-
Looks really nice. Correct me if I'm wrong are the last part of limbs bending enough, looks like bending mostly in the fades..?
-
thanks guys. the limbs are supposed to be stiff in the levers of this style so most of the bend is early.
-
I like the looks of that one.

Super bow all around, I'd be quite pleased to be shooting that beauty if it showed up on my doorstep. ;D
-
thanks to all of you for the kind words, you should recieve it on thursday. Gordon. if you measure your package with the length plus the girth not to exceed 84" total then you should only have to pay around 15.00. I used a trangular box for strength but was just a little over. couldnt fit into tube because of the gull wing profile. I think I may make another one of these, this thing really spit an arrow. took a little set as I expected with the yew/boo combo but was a pleasure to shoot.

I am almost done putting everything away from the Marshall shoot so maybe tonight I can fling a few from her !!
Thank you Juniper Junkie for the fine looking bow !
And for posting the pics of it since I don't seem to be able to accomplish that !
Have Fun
