What I think some of that footage shows is that a lot of the archers paradox is due to the release, the string rolling off the fingers. The string is moving sideways, often the string is drawn back sideways, no wonder the rear of the arrow is moving sideways and thus the arrows is snaking. A cleaner release means that spine is less of an issue. maybe one reason why those cultures that rely on thumb or pinch release worry a lot less about spine rating than those who use meditteranean of finger release?
