I went in reverse some reason I shoot my 2nd bow a lot more so that may be why I posted it first , but my 1st piece of wood I took a horseshoe rasp is this lil fella it is 53 inchs Osage and pulls 54 pounds at 25 inchs I did put this on a bowshop scale when I built it I wasn't aware that 53 inch bow was a harder bow too build than a longer one , the post I got wasn't very long so this is what it made.

That is an impressive first bow! Can't wait to see what you make next.

Nice to see some people can make weight on their first, you have a hinge in you upper limb though ( not half as bad as the hinge in my first)

Good thing it's Osage. there's a hinge in upper limb but I don't expect much from a first bow mine was Ohh so terrible haha

Good thing it is osage, I read Dean torges book, Comstocks , andWaldorrfs book at that time it was way before the Internet for me, Im still a rookie I learn something new on each one, Thanks for looking.

Excellent from such a short stave. I'm not so sure that 'hinge' is as bad as it looks...
some of it may be camera angle.
Nice work
