Title: Short arrows need a home.
Post by: Prarie Bowyer on June 10, 2013, 12:52:37 pm
I have finished a set of Linden (bass wood) footed with Walnut and a walnut nock insert with Goose and turkey fletching.  Wouldn't ya know I cut em twice and they are still too short!  :o

I haven't spined them but I know the process works.  Arrows are 28" untipped.

Let me know what you would like to trade.  They would make a good set of arrows for a shorty.

Spine weights average 31# =/- 5#

They average 30" long.  they came from a dried linden log that I got for wood carving.  They are oriented with the straight grain running  their length.

Butts are tapered from the foot joint to the tail just slightly.  I use a grinding jig to rough in the square blanks then hand planes and sand paper to round them over.

Forgot I was out of tips.
