I made this one before the Marshall shoot for my oldest daughter in time for her to shoot there. Its Eastern Red Cedar from greg(gsulfridge)with a rawhide backing. I chased a lil over an inch of sapwood off,and actually chased and followed one growth ring on some tight ringed stuff, so there wood be a nice elb look to it as it has a full on round belly elb cross section to it. Its 51"ntn..20@20"....jicarillo tip overlays...and a simple design over the rawhide that my wife free handed..the pink string came from matt(mwirwicki)thanks for giving me some brother;)....my daughter wanted a purple bow so mine and her choice of wood was ERC ;) she loves it!!! :) ok..enough of that ill let the pics of the bow and her tell the rest ;) ;D

Lesken ..I did something a lil diff from my norm and I applied a first and one coat of linseed oil,and let it soak in for a couple days, then a few coats of tru oil...it gave it a more matte finish than the high gloss of tru oil only...
Almost Ed ;) ..lol

That is a very nice design on the bow and is a type of rose malling looks like to me that I've seen in Northeast Iowa.Decorah to be exact.Lots of Norwegians up there.Their rose malling is a work of art too.
