I heard my wife talking to someone on the front porch. When I looked around the corner to see who it was, I saw a long white tube in her hands. She was talking to the mail lady. I quickly opened the package to find a fine bow from Steelslinger. I am right in the middle of a project, right now, that has to be in today. I will post some pics later this evening or in the morning. Thanks, Brad!!

OK....the project took me till this morning to finish. I did have my wife take pictures of me as I opened the package, yesterday, and I am about to have here take some pics of me and the bow to upload. I just shot it a few times and it is sweet!! Sorry to make you wait a little longer... ;)

OK... I finally had time to upload the pics. Before I post, I would like to thank Brad for such a fine bow. It is a real piece of art. I have seen photos of bows skinned with sturgeon, before, but there is no way to describe how they look in person. I love the uniqueness of this bow as well as the balance and attention to detail. Here are a few pics...

If you will notice in the arrows in target shot, I split one of my arrows. This bow spits them out with authority and is very smooth and accurate. I hope my recipient is as pleased with the bow I made for him as I am with this one. Thanks so much Brad. What a swell gift!

Sweet....congrats Kenny ;)...good job brad :)
-
Cool bow, congrats.
-
Congratulations Kenny! That is a fine bow! I got to fondle it a bit a couple weeks ago and you are right, those skins are beautiful! And from what I understand, they are gonna be hard to come by in the next few years. I was impressed by the density and feel of the Oregon ash as well. Brad certainly did an excellent job putting that together for you. Well done Brad and its a fine piece of Oregon well deserved by you Kenny! Josh

I'm Glad you like it! I had a hard time judging accuracy shooting with my left hand, but it seemed to hit where I was looking.
-

That is a great looking bow! Tiller looks great and those skins are beautiful. Congrats to Kenny and great job on the bow Brad. Oregon ash must be good stuff, the unbraced pic looks like it has almost zero set.
-
This was a very nice piece of ash. It started out with about 1/4" of reflex, and it ended up with about 1 1/2" of set before I flipped the tips. It took all of the set during the tillering process, and none while shooting it in.
I have to thank Carson at Echo archery for providing me with this stave.
-
nice, i need to get some ash sometime
-
Congrats Kenny. That bow looks great, beautiful work Steelslinger!
-
That is a fine bow! Great job. Not a lot of sturgeon swimming around in Mississippi, huh Kenny? That is cool.
-
Congrats to both, very nice looking bow. :)

I have never caught one, before, Howard. Not sure if we have any at the Ross Barnett Rez, though. I love the prehistoric look it gives the bow.
