Title: my handmade rifle sleeve for my new rifle.
Post by: mcginnis6010 on July 12, 2013, 10:09:18 pm
I just bought a Finnish M-39 rifle and so I got the idea to make a rifle sleeve for it. I made from commercially tanned leather, artificial sinew, some rivets and a little bit of snake skin. Every stitch was handstitched so now my fingers are killing me LOL.

Very clever.  Looks like you are ready to be dropped in the Canadien wilderness for a self guided hunt!

Ha ha I wish I don't think the wife would like it very much if I went that far into grizzly country by myself. However that M-39 would take down just about any big game. I'm hoping to take a black bear with it this year. Ill hunt anything else with my bow but when it comes to hunting bears I like to have the reassurance of a reliable high powered rifle or a 50 cal muzzy.
