Hello everyone, I'm a new member here and have been enjoying all the great info I've found. I am new to traditional archery and have been practicing with a 1980's re-curve bow I inherited, but English Longbows have always been a fascination for me.
I've long wanted to learn bowery and last night bought a red oak board to start my first bow build. I'll be working through the board bow build outlined in the "Backyard Bower" Nicholas Tomihama. I'll look forward to learning a lot from the process and will probably get quite a bit of help here as well, greetings and thank you all in advance for the help!

Glad to see you here, pull up a seat. There is some of the best, bow building talent in the world on this site, with help and advice, free and plentiful.

You should have that bow built and broke in by the time the hoarfrost comes, even if you are at high elevation. Welcome!
