Finally finished another one. Stats are 63" ntn, 2" from fades to about mid-limb tapered to 1/2" at nocks, 54#@26". Flipped the tips a little and heat treated the belly. Handle and skin splices covered with hemp soaked in epoxy. 6 coats of tru- oil and 1 coat of satin poly over it to kill the shine. Skins are what I had 1 water moccasin and 1 copperhead. Got in too big a hurry tillering and top limb got a little hingy. I corrected it best I could and finished it out. After 500 or so shots still shoots hard and holds a pretty good profile. Gonna hunt some with it this year. Excuse the crappy cell phone pics and yes I shoot my clicker even on a selfbow cause I suck without it. ;D

Fritz, I love me some hickory... I would say you done that piece justice buddy. I noticed the unstrung profile and no set. That's gett'n it done with hickory dude. That stuff is so tuff.

Thanks guys. I live in sw Louisiana and it is very humid. I tried the hotbox thing for hickory, but I found Pat's advice about bringing into the a/c the ticket to getting the m/c down. Keeping it dry and not over stressing it early on is what I'm learning about hickory. Course my wife really doesn't understand why I have a whole hickory tree under our bed. ;D

I like hickory..............but after my last osage, I'm with Blackhawk we got to get him some.
