i saw in 1/2 primitive's hog kill (nice job by the way) that he'd used bandsaw blade broadheads. Id like to hear how to make um and maybe see some pictures for an example. are they just crafted to trade points or something? Anyway and pictures or descriptions would help. thanks

I don't know how 1/2 primitive made his. Hope he replys for you.
You cut them out however you can ,hacksaw ,dremil and a fiber cutoff wheel, metal cutting bandsaw, die grinder, or even a forge and anvil and a hotcut.
here is the ones I make.

I use a 50/1000 band saw blade and cut them out with a dremil then touch them up with a bench grinder. These are 160 grain. :)

What kind of attachment for the dremel, Pappy?

Hi All, Here are some 125 gr points I cut out from venisburger's stock. One inch wide and blued. Ron

I use one of the "fiber" cut off disks. You don't even need to cut all the way through. Just draw your lines, score deeply just outside each line and then snap off the waste with a couple of pairs of vise grips. Safety goggles are a good idea! Once you have a set rough cut, you can stack them and clamp in vise grips, then grind up to six blades at once so they are matched in outline. Ron

m-p those look great. i sent you a message so whatever you want.

I used a fiber cut off disc also.I cut mine all the way through but may try just scoring it next
time,just hadn't though of that. :)

Pappy, Scoring and snapping is not an original idea. I learned it here in one of the threads. The edges come out a little ragged and need grinding, but it's a lot faster and there is less chance the blade will bind in the cut. Ron

Hey, thanks.
The one I shot the hog with was as simple as you could get, just a triangle cut out and sharpened, lol. The best ones I have made, though, look a lot like Ralph's.
Along with Ron and Pappy, I use a fiber cut off disc.
And one more thing, I used ferrel-tite to glue them in at first, but epoxy holds up much better for me.
