Anyone know what kind of tree is this? Will it make a bow?(http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx203/Lee1_photos/tree3.jpg) (http://s756.photobucket.com/user/Lee1_photos/media/tree3.jpg.html)(http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx203/Lee1_photos/tree2.jpg) (http://s756.photobucket.com/user/Lee1_photos/media/tree2.jpg.html)(http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx203/Lee1_photos/tree1.jpg) (http://s756.photobucket.com/user/Lee1_photos/media/tree1.jpg.html)

I've heard Redbud makes a fine bow. I been wanting to try it for a while.  Thats some smooth bark for Redbud, but I guess it could be young (as said).

Could it be an American Basswood?

Are the leaves serrated?

Lee,

Can you get a better picture of the leaves?  I tried to enlarge the phots and it looks like there are small serrations, but I can not see them well enough to make sure.  My vote is some type of basswood, if the edges have small serrations.

It is basswood, very soft light wood, doubt it will make a bow...  Makes good fishing lures though...
