Title: a gem of a gift by a master
Post by: Badly Bent on August 25, 2013, 06:12:46 pm
....... Misslemaster that is. Last week I meet up with Cody at a 3D shoot and he pulls some nice staves out of his truck and gives them to me, awesome. Then he pulls out a perfectly crafted osage bow, strings it, hands it to me and says
I want you to shoot this and if ya like it I want you to have it, I was stunned!
This bow is not only a beautiful piece of work by a guy who's bows I've always drooled over but a super sweet shooter
as well. After a full week I'm finally getting used to the idea that I actually own a genuine Cody bow. I believe I am
more proud of this bow than any of mine and just had to share my excitement with the class in this post. Hope I don't embarrass you Cody by saying your a 'righteous dude' and I thank you.

As if Cody's bows aren't nice enough, I love his handles. Could we get a closer pic of that? Is the leather wrap formed over the rest?

Thanks for the nice comments guys and I can tell by your responses that you already knew what a great guy Cody is.
Lot of others like him on this site and I've had the pleasure of meeting some of you this past year, been fun.
I'm still in awe of this fine bow and the generosity of Cody and others on this site. I'm gonna take this bow hunting
this year and many others no doubt. For those of you who wanted more pics I'm gonna try to put in the link to Misslemasters post of this bow here. (well that didn't work, my bad computer skills)
Look back around July 9th post 'Osage D/R' for more pics
Greg
