Here's my first ever knapper point. A little smaller than I like but it's a start I guess.

A heck of a lot better than my first one and probably my 50th one. Good you found some novaculite. There will be more to come I am sure. Great first point - super in fact.

Yep my first one looked like a lump.  It couldn't even be mistaken for a point.  Nice one looking good!

Hey thanks guys. I watched alot of Patrick's videos on YouTube.

Yeah rob it seems to break nicely. The only think is it doesn't like to send long flakes, and I get these 'steps' I think that's what there called. I'm gonna try and work one out before I gotta head to work.

I thought I recognized that stuff.  I got some novaculite from rob too.  I like it well enough.  The learning process just seems real time consuming.  Nice point!

I use dacite a lot it actually way easier to chip.... Might wanna give it a try

I think I got lucky in this first one Chris.
Spalled off a nice thin piece and used indirect to get a couple good flakes to roll off.
I snapped 2 nice ones in half:/ yesterday. Oh well still learning.
