Title: Easy way to stain Oak wood

1. Take some household ammonia(ammonium hydroxide actually, ~5% solution)... then put it on a cotton rag and wipe bow down.
2. let dry, wipe agian.

If you want to watch something neat happen.Buy some plum brown browning finish for muzzle loader barrels from track of the wolf.Apply some to some hickory.Hit it with the heat gun and watch hickory darn near turn into the color of osage.It's variable if you want it darker put more on and heat it some more.The heat activates it

What you want to do is brush the whole length of area that you want darkened.Not part of it then move on.The reason is a hard line can occur otherwise.It works.
