Just finished this osage. 66" 55# at 29" draw. Most under 1" wide.

Great work Bob! I like that grip area.
-
sweet bow, bet its a screamer.
-
That is a sweet bow. I love the bend, and that natural swoop at the arrow pass....perfect. That to me is an ideal longbow. Love those specs.
-
I'm a newbie to this but I can see how beautiful your bow is. How dry was the wood before you started?
-
Lovely stuff 8)

Thank you all. This bow does shoot fast and I owe a thank you to burn um up chuck for that. He sent me my trade bow and I noticed something immediately. It was the string, he did not use b50 like I had been using. I went out and bought more modern string material and have been making new strings for all my bows, the difference is pretty significant.
The wood was just cut in may. The guy who gave me the osage wants a bow from one of the trees I took from his yard, it is dry but not well seasoned.

Cool Bob...nice osage sliver bow :D ....always like seeing that
-
Very nice! I love the skins.
-
Very nice indeed. Good looker and has a smooth bend at full draw, gotta be a pleasure to shoot that bow.
-
Very nice Sir. Great shape to it!
-
That's a classic. Nice style.
-
Nice work man, I like the bend and the handle wrap. All around nice bow! Is it heavily rounded or just ovalish, can't tell from the pics
-
That is a beauty sir! The full draw is as sweet as it gets! Josh

Great job love the subtle tip flip. Just enough ;D. Tiller looks great.
-
Outstanding! Jawge

wow, thats beautiful, and thanks for the props but our local string maker john made the string. seriously though that bow is fantastic.

Thanks again all for the great comments. It is oval shaped, and I did flip the one tip because the other limb had reflex in it, and I felt like I heated and bent the wood enough already and the limbs weren't matching up too well.
-
Sweet shooter bro! Congrats!
-
Beautiful bow, like everything about it,tiller/grip/skins /character and finish work. Very cool, don't take much Osage to make a bw. ;) :) I even like the name [new bow] ;) :) :)
