Title: Alabama Jasper
Post by: Ryan_Gill_HuntPrimitive on November 09, 2013, 12:01:46 pm
I grabbed a pretty piece of Bama jasper today and made a hunting point.  I picked this stuff up a couple years ago and like to work a piece on a special occasion. The cobbles are yellow when they come out of the creek but after spalling and heat treating, they turn into this nice waxy red stone.  Makes for a real pretty and  a very sharp point

Nice looking stone and point too.  Kinda reminds me a little of Horsecreek...
