A little friday night knapping fun. Left to right
left- My reproduction of a kirk stemmed atlatl point made from FL chert
middle- a to-scale picture of a kirk stemmed atlatl point artifact featured in the Overstreet arrowhead ID book dated 6000-9000 years old
right- An actual kirk stemmed artifact made from FL chert that is in my collection
pretty good likeness of the 3 if I do say so myself. Obviously mine is a little cleaner and sharper edged since it doesn't have several thousand years of erosion. :-\
