I got a chance to hunt with PatB and Chris Cade at Chris' farm This past week and got this big boy with my .300 WnMag. It is the nicest one I've gotten yet.

The man, his deer, his garb! Knowing Eddie the picture tells a lot about a great guy! Joe
-
Congrats mullet!
Thats a beauty!
You do look a bit chilled though.
Ya know that in cold weather survival situations you can gut that buck and crawl up inside him to survive until Chris and Pat show up with some hot chocolate.

Nice Buck, Congrats, Ed

Nice job, old man!! You do look cold... Florida boys must have thinner blood! Up here in The Great White North, we'd let a buck like that walk! ;) 8)

We did have a great weekend. I did miss a nice little 8 pt on Friday evening. Shot right under it but in my defense it was 30 paces out. ::)
Eddie hunted alone on Saturday morning. I was up too late with Evan Williams on Friday night to get up to hunt ;D ...and I have no excuse for Saturday evening. ;)
Congrats again Eddie.
Adam, where we were hunting that was a big deer, not the biggest but a very respectable one for sure.
-
That's a goodun! Glad u got a chance to get out with your tight schedule! That'll help while away those slow hours ta come!
-
Thanks, guys and it had warmed up that day to 18dgs. The day before it was 16dgs. I traded a fellow PA'er for the poncho and sure glad I did. Also tried out my Thermocell toe warmers and they are worth every penney you pay for them.
-
Awesomely fantastic! That's a beauty. :)
-
Ahh, Evan Williams is a good friend of mine too. He wears a new white jacket up here now and is 100 proof, only makes a good friend better I tell you what. I'll try to bring one to the Classic this year is you don't have it down there. Like I need brown water at the Classic. ;) dp

Really nice buck Eddie! Did I mention, you guys are killing me with these pics! Starting to forget what a deer looks like around here. Pretty bad when you can't even find a road kill anymore. Probably going to drive me to drinking..........again!

Good job Eddie. I'm happy for you. I've only got one doe so far this year. Been kinda slow on sightings. Did mess up at Pappy's, so should have had more. But, that's hunting. I like your hat also. :) Got one myself.

Eddie paid his dues and really earned this buck. This buck came off my fathers favorite stand. I've taken a 5 pt from it this so far this year and it only gets better toward the end of the season. Congrats again buddy!!

I went into the woods today carrying a KHalverson knife AND tomahawk. I wore a stocking cap and it was 19 degrees outside. How come I didn't get a buck like that?
Oh yeah, because I spooked 15 different does in the course of the stalking. That's my new NDN name, Doe Spooker.
Nice job on a nice buck, Eddie. Hope you are enjoying your little vacation at home before you gotta run off again. I'm already scouting for next spring's turkey hunt for ya!
-
Thanks, John. Looks like I don't have to leave till January, now. I might to get some hunting in with the mosquitos ;D And, I'm ready for a Merriam.

That is a nice one Eddie. I don't think you are a stranger to cold. Weren't you in northern Alberta a few years ago...in the winter?
-
Way to go Eddie! Super good deer! Congrats brotha!
-
Thanks, Fellas. Marc, yea I work in Alberta quite a bit in the Winter. The last trip it was -40 and two weeks after that I was in Flim Flom, Manitoba where I got frost bite on two toes working in knee deep slush.
