I like the wraps that many of you guys have around your limbs, whether they are by themselves or butted up to a snakeskin. What materials do you use?
-
Rawhide
-
Any thin cord or string will work.
My favorite is buttonhole silk.
-
Yeah, silk seems to be the best thread for a wrap. I haven't been all that happy with my other experiments.
-
I have some rawhide....I was thinking of dying it with some polmagranite juice.
-
I assume the silk is just glued on? Maybe overlapped to hide the seem?
-
Sinew for me although I've use silk tread before too. You can dye, stain or paint sinew any color you like.
-
Nylon serving material work well for me.
-
I've used art sinew, polyester cotton seeing thread, but I like silk thread the best
-
I have use thin leather before. Has to be like very small cordage to look good though.
-
I use the same as Bryce, nylon serving material.
-
Deer back strap sinew most of the time. :)
