Title: Percussion reduction pics...
Post by: seminolewind on December 14, 2013, 03:19:59 am
This is raw Texas rock I think it is called Pedernales. Anyway its harder than Chinese arithmetic and those 90 degree angles didn't help either ! I like seein progression from rock to point so I tried to take pics to show just that. this is with direct percussion, I ended up with some kind of weird tang.

It came out a little smaller than I had hoped because I lost some real estate undercutting some stack.

Looks like that cleaned up good! Kind of a cross between tang and tt.

Looks like you conquered those steep angles!  Very nice work, especially considering how far you got with direct percussion.
