Title: sneak peek, the rest in a week!

Started playing with some diluted leather dye on a birch barked backed buckthorn bow I'm finishing and thought I'd see what you guys think. There is some green in there also that isn't showing up in the pics for some reason, (no pink though Slim, sorry bud) ;D   
Be about a week before I'll be done with the finishing and handle treatment then I'll post the full compliment of pics.
Oh.... its a short bow cause they RULE.

I wanna see it, even if there is no lace. And when you say short, do you mean really short or just kinda short?

No full draw pic yet Bill, sorry. Just put a coat of tru oil on it last night and one this morning and two a day for the next five days before I'll string it again. The full draw may not be worth the wait though, it has a funky kick in the handle and some dips and dives in the side profile. Just wanted to show the shagadelic dye job now but somehow the camera isn't picking up all the colors in it. Lets just say that if Jerry Garcia was still alive he'd give it a nod of approval.

Awesome work as usual Mr. Greg!  Any tips on the birch bark backing? I want to put it on the hackberry bow i'm working on for my wife.
