Here is sort of a Pit River Style bow. It is Yew with sap on. It has two courses of deer sinew on it. It is 46 in. ntn. 1 3/4 in. at fade outs. At the nocks it is 3/4 in. It has a 5 in. brace height and it pulls 55 lbs at 22 in. Everything is all natural except for the bowstring. I didn't really intend to make a Pit River Style this is kind of what it came out to be. If I was actually going to do a Pit River Style, it would be reflexed. I don't know if they had a flat bow design but we only get to see a glimpse into the past, so, maybe, maybe not. Thanks for looking John.

I am not familiar with a pit river bow but that is a nice looking bow.
-
That sir is about as Northwest Bow as can be made right there. My guess is that if ya showed to any of the Pit River Natives they sure as hell know it on sight. Very exceptional.
Don't know what there is about them but all three of your recent post bows have a very distinctive style and should give you great pride in them.

I'm sure there were as many styles then we've just been lucky enough to find a few of them. I would say this is a logical design. If not, it's one the elders would adopt as a standard. Great work John and thanks for sharing! How's it shoot?

Beautiful work on all the bows, but I especially like this one. Good job John
