Title: Sanding Belts
Post by: caveman2533 on February 01, 2014, 12:42:28 am
Does anyone use 3 Wide x 132 long sanding belts? I have access to used ones that are far from being worn out and yet get thrown away . I know many of you have some big sanders.  When new grit is probably a 36. I would have to check.

Cut them up and use contact cement to glue them on to different sizes of wooden dowels and flat strips of wood. Works perfect for shaping radiuses and contouring.  36 grit cuts like a rasp. I do this with some freebee belts that I was given, works really good.
